Alejandra Bravo-Diaz

PhD. student in Data Science

Adolfo Ibáñez University

Alejandra finished her master thesis entitled “Detection of Pinus radiata from drone imagery using convolutional neural networks”. The manuscript can be access here.

For her PhD., Alejandra focuses on studying the transferability of models based on remotely sensed data with particular spatial variability. Specifically, she uses a methodology based on transfer learning with model convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture in order to establish the possibilities and limits of using the models in new areas different from the data used to train them.
